Wizard's Tower

Amazing card and board game shop, with a huge selection of Magic cards as well as Pokémon cards and more. Prices are good. Massive board game wall on the left side when you come in, and lots of other miscellaneous card/board game-related things like sleeves, tokens, dice, etc. One of my favourite things about the store is that there is a cafe within! The prices are amazing for what you get (especially for the food), and everything we ordered was delicious. For vegans, the staff member working was super accommodating and was able to make the loaded fries vegan for my partner and they were VERY good (especially with the cajun seasoning). The espresso drinks were amazing as well— I ordered a flavoured latte, and it came out looking great and tasting even better. All in all I highly recommend coming here if you’re in the area and have any interest in card games, board games, D&D, etc. It’s really fun, the staff are lovely, and the cafe is an incredible plus that makes it a blast to hang out at!:)

Hello Internet, Bought a Lord of the Rings, Magic the Gathering set booster box yesterday night. Was excited when I got this box topper and went to trade it in today with some other cards. To my surprise the card was rejected, but then at an angle I was shown that it was damaged during shipping. Staff at the store advised that “unfortunately some box toppers get damaged”. That’s about it. I get that shipping is a concern, though I’m really not sure if this is a common occurrence? Receiving damaged product on a $300+ purchase (and especially on a card that should be worth $50 by itself, in mint condition) certainly doesn’t feel great. I still bought a second set booster box from them today, but immediately opened the box topper card in my car out of concern for damage (it was fine). I’m just a random guy, and I get that there’s no way to “prove” anything either way in terms of how the card was damaged. I respect that returns are only possible on “sealed product”. I didn’t “go crazy” in the store or leave a 1 star review here, I will still go back to the store, it’s a great spot, and in the last five days after getting back into Magic cards, I have picked up a draft booster box and two set booster boxes. Honestly it’s just that I’m not sure if I’ll buy anymore of the pricey boxes from them going forward, out of concern that it’s (for me) been a 50/50 chance as to whether the box topper card is damaged. —————————————— Updated - 22 July 2023 Hello all, The response from the manager alone is worth 5 stars, and I have updated this review to that effect 😊 I really must say that I am incredibly surprised (in a very good way) at the speed of the response and the offer to fix my issue even though they are absolutely not at fault or responsible for it. Service goes a long way, and truly it’s not about the value of the card but just the “#FeelsBad” of an especially sparkly and great card being damaged before ever being played, and honestly this has completely resolved something I had pretty much expected to be a loss. A business like this, with ownership like this, deserves every penny that customers are looking to spend on their favourite hobbies, I can’t speak highly enough of Wizard’s Tower 😊

This is an excellent Local Gaming store. They have a good selection of board games, TC games, and accessories, along with hosting many event nights. Even nights always draw a crowd, and everyone has fun! Their Staff is friendly, helpful, and always available. The store has a small coffee/snack bar that drives an improved atmosphere over other LGS's. Their Crystal commerce system is managed well and the store communicates effectively using order numbers and is openly transparent about card quality/condition. 5 Stars and all good things to say - What is the catch?! Prices. You will routinely pay 10-30% more on almost all products including singles, compared to other LGS, let alone of all available online sources.
